MISSION
Owner of the category P&L that leads the category’s business performance by defining strategy, optimizing assortment, and ensuring flawless execution across channels. Align all levers — pricing, product mix, and master data — to maximize profitability and market relevance.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
SCOPE : Fashion (Softline)
Own the Category P&L and Deliver Business Objectives
- Define and lead business objectives and category-level targets
- Perform OTB and ensure alignment with financial planning
- Track category performance (sales, GM, rotation, pricing, activation) across Offline & Online to meet profitability targets.
Define and Implement Category Strategy for O&O
- Analyze market trends, customer behavior, competition, and store segmentation
- Identify assortment gaps and opportunities throughout the year for both Offline and Online (including exclusive or online-specific SKUs)
- Build a category strategy aligned with brand positioning
- Monitor execution of strategy across VM, Trade Plan, In-store, and Online touchpoints.
Drive Assortment and Product Planning
- Define optimal assortment per channel and store tier (O&O) and exiting strategy for underperforming sku’s (e.g., provisions, etc.)
- Lead product planning per banner/store: specs, product mix, materials, packaging type, collection themes, and samples.
- Set price architecture (Step-in / Good / Better / Best) using competitors’ benchmark
- Identify opportunities for exclusive designs and product innovation with Sourcing
- Input Product for Trade Plan exercise per activation
- Prepare commercial briefs for Sourcing Executive
- Manage the assortment selection process timeline compliance (e.g., Range Council).
Supervise master data accuracy and consistency on the category.
REQUIREMENTS
Functional skills:
- Full ownership of Category P&L (sales, margin, OTB, pricing, stock rotation)
- Proven ability to develop and execute Homeline category strategy (Furnitre, Culture, Textile, Bedding, …)
- Strong experience in international and deal-based sourcing (off-price, outlet, treasure hunt)
- Advanced analytical capability with strong command of key retail KPIs
- Ability to convert market trends, customer insights, and data into commercial actions
- Strong cross-functional leadership across Sourcing, Supply Chain, VM, Trade Marketing, E-commerce, and StoresWell-organized.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, Marketing, or related fields.
Experience: 5–8 years of experience in Category Management, Buying, Merchandising, or Commercial roles within Fashion/Cosmetics/ Non-Food retail.
Language: Fluent in Vietnamese, proficiency in English.
Office skills: proficient in MS Office, Excel, experienced with ERP / retail systems (SAP or equivalent) is preferred.
Attitude: Hardworking, strong ownership mindset, commercially driven, result-oriented, and comfortable working under pressure.
