Main Responsibilities
- Analyze market data, customer insights, and competitor activities to support category development.
- Manage a defined product group within the Fruit category (e.g., tropical fruit, imported fruit).
- Propose assortment changes (new listings, delisting, product updates) to ensure competitive range and availability.
- Negotiate basic trading terms, seasonal deals, and promotional offers with selected suppliers.
- Monitor sales performance, margin, stock levels, and out-of-stock situations; propose corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Store Operations to ensure successful execution of promotions and product availability.
- Support financial tracking: sales, margins, promotional effectiveness.
- Prepare regular category performance reports for management review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or related fields.
- 2–3 years of experience in merchandising, category management, or fresh produce (retail background preferred).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and retail management systems.
- English: intermediate communication.
