Key Responsibilities
Sourcing
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable international suppliers for Fresh Food products with strong food safety standards and traceability.
- Propose and select new suppliers and products that meet customer needs, company policies, and Vietnam import regulations.
- Build and execute import plans to ensure product freshness, availability, and on-time delivery.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior in the Fresh Food category.
Offering & Negotiation
- Request quotations and negotiate pricing, commercial terms (Incoterms, MOQ, lead time, ETC.).
- Propose cost-effective sourcing solutions while maintaining product quality and freshness.
- Develop a competitive and relevant Fresh Food product assortment aligned with business strategy.
Orders Follow-up
- Monitor the end-to-end order process from purchase to delivery, ensuring cold chain integrity.
- Anticipate and resolve issues related to delays, quality, or import procedures.
- Manage product lifecycle including shelf-life, stock levels, and sell-through performance.
- Coordinate with QA/QC and Hygiene teams for product registration and compliance for new SKUs.
Coordination
- Collaborate with internal departments (Logistics, Supply Chain, QA/QC, Commercial) to ensure smooth operations.
- Act as a key liaison between international suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Provide regular reports on business performance, sourcing progress, and category development.
- Proactively identify risks (e.g., spoilage, delays, cold chain issues) and propose solutions.
Supporting the Team
- Support team members in sourcing, product development, and merchandising activities.
- Handle product sampling, evaluation, and showroom coordination (if applicable).
- Prepare reports, data analysis, and communication tools to support decision-making.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Fresh Food categories (meat, seafood, fruits & vegetables, chilled products).
- Understanding of cold chain logistics, food preservation, and international quality standards (HACCP, GlobalGAP, ETC.).
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (Business, International Trade, Supply Chain, Food-related fields preferred).
- Seniority: 2 years of experience in international sourcing, import-export, or FMCG, preferably in Fresh Food
- Language: Fluent in English & Vietnamese
- Office skills: Excel, Power point, and MS word
