MISSION : Identifying and securing high-margin international sourcing opportunities (Deal Flash, Outlet, Treasure Hunt), managing supplier negotiations and compliance, and ensuring fast-to-market delivery for Non-Food categories

ACTIVITIES
Sourcing Strategy Preparation
- Align sourcing initiatives with banner needs and commercial margin targets
- Define product selection and target vendors for Deal Flash, Outlet, and Treasure Hunt sourcing models
- Consolidate yearly sourcing calendar and priorities with Commercial & Merchandising
- Benchmark competitors and industry trends to identify high-potential sourcing zones
Vendor Identification & Launch
- Scout new international vendors via fairs, platforms, and direct approaches
- Pre-qualify vendors based on quality, pricing, and compliance standards
- Build product opportunities with vendors and validate technical & commercial feasibility
- Initiate vendor onboarding in coordination with QA, Legal, Finance, and Logistics
Negotiation & Contracting
- Lead commercial negotiations (cost, volume, payment terms, MOQ, returns)
- Ensure pricing competitiveness and product uniqueness per sourcing stream
- Formalize contracts, NDAs, and commercial agreements aligned with company policies
Ordering & Follow-up
- Issue purchasing requests and follow PO lifecycle with internal teams
- Track production readiness, order status, and delivery planning
- Align packaging, labelling, and product specs with QA/QC standards
Cross-functional Coordination
- Liaise with Category Managers to align on commercial calendar, margin targets and integration of products into existing range
- Coordinate with Merchandising & VM, Quality, Master Data, Stores and other service to guarantee best and compliant implementation in-store
Reporting & Process Optimization
- Maintain vendor database, sourcing trackers, and performance dashboards
- Analyze sourcing hit rate, lead time, and cost competitiveness
- Recommend process improvements and sourcing automation tools.
COMPETENCIES
Functional knowledge & experience:
- 5-8+ years of progressive experience in international sourcing/procurement within retail, FMCG, or related sectors, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role
- Deep expertise in end-to-end sourcing strategy, supplier development, and global supply chain management for Non-Food products
- Proven track record of delivering significant cost savings and margin improvement through strategic sourcing
- Strong understanding of legal and compliance aspects in international trade (contracts, incoterms, regulations).
Functional skill:
- Mastery of strategic negotiation and vendor management techniques
- Strong financial and business acumen with advanced analytical skills for complex cost modeling and profitability analysis
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
Managerial skill:
- Demonstrated leadership ability in managing, motivating, and developing a team
- Superior stakeholder management and cross-functional influencing skills at all organizational levels
- Strong project management and organizational skills, capable of handling multiple strategic priorities.
REQUIRED BACKGROUND & ATTITUDE
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field. An MBA or relevant Master's degree is a strong plus.
Seniority:
- Managerial level with proven leadership experience.
Language:
- Fluent in English and Vietnamese (both spoken and written) is mandatory; proficiency in Chinese is a strong plus.
Office skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with ERP/Sourcing software.
