Senior Fashion Designer

Main Responsibilities

MISSION : Lead and supervise the design process of fashion collections across Softline divisions by managing junior designers, converting creative concepts into technical specifications, and ensuring production feasibility and quality with suppliers and factories.

Team Leadership & Design Oversight

  • Supervise and support Fashion Designers in the development of design concepts aligned with market trends and commercial targets
  • Ensure quality, feasibility, and consistency of all designs before supplier sharing
  • Coordinate the workload, timelines, and creative directions across multiple designers.

Technical Specification Development

  • Translate design sketches into comprehensive technical packs, including size charts, construction details, and BOMs
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of tech packs for sourcing and factory use
  • Communicate technical expectations to suppliers and guide them through design intent.

Supplier & Factory Communication

  • Lead technical discussions with suppliers to ensure product feasibility, cost-efficiency, and lead-time reliability
  • Validate supplier capabilities to meet design expectations and suggest adjustments when needed
  • Coordinate directly with factories when samples or prototypes require clarification or troubleshooting.

Production Quality Control

  • Review pre-production and production samples against approved technical specifications
  • Flag and resolve quality issues with suppliers and sourcing teams to maintain design integrity
  • Approve final samples before mass production or raise escalation if needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Engineering, Textile Design, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in fashion design, with strong leadership and team coordination capability.
  • Solid expertise in garment construction, tech pack development, and production processes.
  • Proven experience working directly with suppliers and factories on feasibility, costing, and quality control.
  • Strong commercial mindset, attention to detail, and ability to balance creativity with production realities.
